January’s MAAD is all about giving back to the society and collaborations! Launching project iSmile and also specially B&B designed tote bags!

1. PROJECT iSmile, A Collaboration With Ngee Ann Polytechnic

Project iSmile is a social entrepreneurship project done by 5 students from Ngee Ann Polytechnic. Proceeds from this project will be given to a local charity
organisation. This specially designed iPhone cover is contributed by Ms Sylvia, owner of local designer brand, Bon Chat. http://www.etsy.com/shop/BonChatBoutique

For this pilot launch, there will only be 45 covers in total for sale!The iPhone skin is for 4G/4GS. It will seem a bit longer because you can paste it on your cover too if you do not want to scratch your original iPhone!

2. B&B Collaboration: Funky Hand Drawn Totes With Local Doodler/ Designer, Grace Yeoh

Another collaboration that Bonjour And Bonsoir is bringing in exclusively for MAAD is working with Grace, a freelance designer to come out with a special  B&B canvas tote bag design! This collaboration is also launching on this friday’s MAAD.

Grace is a 21-year-old university student who has always fantasised about being her own boss. In her spare time, she does freelance writing and wants to be a successful copywriter one day. Harbouring an unfulfilled desire to go to an art school, she has resorted to doodling occasionally on lecture notes. She also believes in indulging in a good book and travelling the world.

About this collaboration/project:

Originally starting out as a simple experiment via facebook to raise money for the owner’s wanderlust and unnecessary needs, the hand drawn totes from tete-a-tote were an unexpected hit. tete-a-tote represents authenticity, sincerity and practicality in a gift. Intimate and personal, these cotton tote bags are find a way to tug at your heart strings with their bold outlines and endearing designs. All designs presented at the MAAD flea are an eclectic first collection of the quirky and whimsical.
